Plagiarism policy
The editorial board uses Crossref Similarity Check to screen manuscripts for originality. The published policy identifies the following forms of plagiarism and related misconduct:
- Copying passages without quotation marks and source acknowledgement.
- Using distinctive concepts or paraphrasing another author’s ideas without attribution.
- Citing sources that did not supply the material, or fabricating or altering data.
- Reusing a submission for multiple purposes without disclosure and approval, or submitting identical or substantially similar work to multiple publications simultaneously.
- Failing to acknowledge co-authors or collaborators and their contributions.

Peer review
The published special-issue guidance specifies double-blind review. Editorial checks consider scope, ethical standards and scientific quality; decisions take account of reviewer reports and author responses.

Competing interests
Guest Editors must disclose conflicts. Where impartiality may be affected, another editor handles the decision. Guest Editor submissions are managed independently by the editorial board.

Originality & citation integrity
The special-issue call excludes work already published or under consideration elsewhere. The Guest Editor Guide prohibits requesting citations merely to increase citation counts and describes checks when plagiarism is suspected.
